SIROCCO 97

WHAT: SIROCCO 97 is a windsurfing contest aimed at intermediate level and above windsurfers. The main aim is for maximum participation and minimum hassels, you can wavesail as much or as little as you want (no heats). We hope to promote Wavesailing and Taranaki as an Internationally recognised wave Mecca

WHERE: The contest will be held around the Taranaki coast depending on the wind direction. Past locations include Kina rd, Pungarehu rd, Weld rd, and Oakura beach

WHEN: Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th of November 1997 with Sunday 9th as a reserve day if the wind does not show

HOW MUCH: $40 with profits earmarked for a second windtalker at Bellblock

ENTRY: 10am Thursday 6th November at Vertigo, Main road, Oakura
