VISION 1: To promote Windsurfing to the General Public

- Organise/produce articles promoting
windsurfing for related magazines, encouraging
windsurfers to learn at schools and join local clubs - Undertake membership drive offering members discounts and privileges - Circulate and promote Events Calendar - Ensure Event Results are circulated - Assist Event Organisors in organising and promoting their events. - Continue to develop windsurfing web site - Produce updated version of the Windsurfer's Guide to NZ by August 1998 - Produce a "Windsurf Safe" multi-media title on CD-ROM - Promote Windsurfing for Youth - Promote and assist Windsurfing Schools |
- Keep record of number of articles written - Aim to increase members by at least 10% annually - Keep record of number of calendars distributed - NZWA Representatives to monitor popularity and spectator audiences - Monitor number of 'hits' annually - Print another 500 and aim to sell all by August 2000 - Produce 500 discs by August 1998 for distribution to all educational institutions - Number sold will indicate performance - Introduction of Windsurfing Programme in schools by 2000 - Continue with National Standards scheme - Aim to increase Certified Schools every year. |

to be completed for every Instructors Course - Continue to improve course administration, content and delivery - Ensure sufficient advertising of course - Ensure current Instructor are notified of qualification expiry after three years - Set Intermediate and Advanced Instructors Courses. - Gain contacts for all Windsurfing Hire/Schools not currently not on the NZWA database - Continue to circulate surveys and information to all Windsurfing Schools - Continue to promote National Standards for Windsurfing Schools - Provide schools with student ticket books providing information on students passing through schools so students can receive National Certificates. |
